SUMMARY:The soul and future of Europe
DESCRIPTION:On 9th May\, Europe Day\, we will reflect together on the soul and future of Europe. Which stories do we have? Which values do we share? What does Europe mean to us now and what kind of Europe do we want for the future? In this online dialogue\, different generations discuss the values that speak to them\, share personal experiences and dreams and think about how we can bring these dreams closer. Everyone is welcome\, English speakers too! You can register via the red button. \nProgramme\n16:00 Welcome and introduction to the theme from AEGEE\n16:15 Online dialogue in groups of 6\n17:45 Harvest results and conclusions\n18:00 Final words and thanks \nDo you need help using Zoom? If so\, we invite you to join us in the Zoom space 30 minutes before the start of the event. \nThe soul of Europe\nIn 1950\, the Schuman declaration brought the EU into being. \nRobert Schuman: “The European collaboration and integration shall not and cannot become an economic and technical enterprise: it needs a soul\, the knowledge of its historical roots and of its responsibilities\, in the past and in the future\, and a political willingness that serves that same ideal.” \nJacques Delors: “Europe needs a heart and a soul”. “If in the next ten years we haven’t managed to give a soul to Europe\, to give it spirituality and meaning\, the game will be up”.  \nWhat is the state of Europe’s soul now? And what about the inspiration and political will for European cooperation? Where do we get to glimpse its soul and which values do we share? Has the myth of Europe become a bureaucratic project\, far removed from ordinary citizens? How can Europe inspire and allure us once again? What makes it worth your while to commit to Europe? What can we do\, ourselves and together\, to bring a newly inspired Europe closer? \nIn this online dialogue we share our stories\, personal experiences\, ideals for the future and the steps we can take\, ourselves and together\, to bring the future closer. Have you glimpsed the Europe of your dreams somewhere? Do you have examples to share? What can bring this Europe into being? Join us and share your story! \n \n \nWhat is an online dialogue?\n\nA dialogue is a conversation\, where people talk to each other about experiences\, visions and possible actions for change. Characteristics of such a dialogue is that you listen attentively to each other with curiosity an an open heart without judging or trying to convince the others. Through dialogue\, you seek deeper insights to better understand each other. This way of conducting a conversation takes place in small groups of 6 to a maximum of 8 participants\, with a trained dialogue facilitator. Read here more about what a dialogue is >>>\nSign up for the event using the red button. You will receive an automatic confirmation in your mailbox. On the day of the event you will receive a login link for the event and possibly a login code at your email address. By clicking on that link you will get access to the space on the internet where the event takes place. Read more about the use of Zoom here >>>

SUMMARY:Online: Dialogue of light
DESCRIPTION:In the dark month December\, which has the shortest day\, we are organizing a dialogue on light to lighten up these dark days. \nWhat do you think of when you think of light? Party lights\, rituals with light? What does that mean to you? What do you experience as light\, what is it that illuminates\, what makes it lighter? And what do you do to see light or to bring light to something? To bring yourself into the light or enlighten others? What do you long for? Are you curious about the experiences and desires of others? About how others become enlightened? \nPlease note: due to the corona measures the Neude Library is closed\, therefore this dialogue will be held online.  \nWhat is a dialogue?\nIn a dialogue\, you can share your experiences and dreams in an open and in-depth conversation. At the end of the evening\, you go home with new insights and beautiful stories from those who will join you at your table. A dialogue is a conversation between different people\, in which a free exchange of ideas takes place\, which leads to new insights for those involved. Characteristically\, meanings arise that could not have been arrived at without dialogue. True listening is the basis for this. \n  \nProgramme\n19.00: welcome\, introduction of the theme\n19:15: dialogue\n20.45: feedback and discussion\n21.00: end \nHow does a dialogue work?\nYou enter into a conversation with a group of six to eight people. You explore a theme and exchange experiences\, dreams and possibilities. A trained dialogue facilitator guides the conversation and ensures that everyone listens to each other and gets their turn. A dialogue lasts about two hours and consists of the following phases: getting acquainted\, exchanging experiences\, sharing dreams and what can you do. \nWhat is a dialogue>>> \n

SUMMARY:Online: Wealth through sharing?
DESCRIPTION:On November\, St. Martin’s Day\, we meet each other online for a dialogue on Wealth through sharing. How do you share what you have or need\, and what does that bring you and others? Rich\, poor\, young\, old and everyone in between who wants to share an experience and is curious about the stories of others is very welcome! \nWealth through sharing?\nSint Maarten\, the patron saint of Utrecht\, shared his coat 1700 years ago with a beggar. Does sharing help us in today’s world on the road to a more balanced society\, across the borders of liberal economic thinking? Can we better share money (worries)\, goods\, prosperity\, and talent\, so that we are richer and can give more meaning to each other? How do you share what you have or need\, and what does that bring you and others? In this dialogue we share experiences\, good examples of sharing\, how we would like to see the future\, and contribute to this in our daily lives. \nProgram\n19:30 Welcome and inspiration\n19:45 In dialogue\n21:15 Harvest\n21:30 End \nSt. Martin’s celebration\nSt. Martin is the patron saint of the city of Utrecht. The story goes that he shared his red cloak with a beggar. Sint Maarten is therefore the feast of sharing. We will celebrate this from 4 to 11 November in all kinds of places in the city and online. More information about the St. Martin’s celebration.
