Student association Town&Gown welcomes you with open arms on tuesday 18th of September on campus of University College Utrecht for a dialogue about learning. A great opportunity to exchange insights and reflect together about wat learning really is what is the best way to learn.

Students, teachers, people of the neighbourhood and other inhabitants of Utrecht meet and talk about how they learn, what/who they learn from and what they could learn from each other.

This event is part of a series of dialogues at UCU. The aim is to bring students in contact with the city and vice-versa. It brought about fruitful encounters, inspiring ideas and promising projects. Don’t miss it!

The previous Dialogue in UCU was a truly fruitful and encouraging session for Town&Gown. The diversity of participants, which included students, social workers and locals from the neighbourhood, enabled a fresh and interesting insight to the topic of how to connect students to the neighbourhood. – Carole

Learning from…

At university, where knowledge is king, learning is a sometimes challenging process experienced by every student. But we’re not only learning at university or as a student, learning occurs in all phases of life. How do you learn in your daily life? What do you learn from? When are you most open to learning? Is it an individual process? What can we learn from each other?

In this event, experiences of formal and informal learning come together and are explored. We discover each others knowledge and wisdoms and formulate our ideal ways of learning. Wether you are a student of life or a university student, come and join the conversation!

What is a dialogue?

Op dinsdag 18 september  verwelkomt studentenvereniging Town&Gown je op de universiteitscampus voor een dialoog over leren. Een fantastische kans om inzichten te delen en samen te verkennen wat leren nu eigenlijk is en hoe je het kan aanmoedigen.

Studenten, leraren en bewoners van Utrecht ontmoeten elkaar en gaan in gesprek over hoe ze leren, waarvan of van wie ze leren, en wat ze kunnen leren van elkaar.

Deze bijeenkomst is een vervolg op een reeks dialogen die eerder hebben plaatsgevonden op het UCU. De bedoeling is om studenten in contact te brengen met de stad, en andersom. Het bracht al veel vruchtbare ontmoetingen, inspirerende ideeën, en veelbelovende projecten. Mis het niet!

Leren van…

Aan de universiteit staat leren centraal. Het is soms fijn, soms een uitdaging, en vaak erg verrijkend. Leren doe je echter niet alleen op school of aan de universiteit, maar je leven lang.

Hoe leer jij in je dagelijkse leven? Waar leer je van? Van wie? Wanneer sta je het meeste open om te leren? Is het een individueel proces? Wat kunnen we van elkaar leren?

Tijdens deze bijeenkomst onderzoeken we ervaringen van formeel en informeel leren, en ontdekken we elkaars kennis en wijsheden. Ieder formuleert hoe en wat hij/zij in een ideale wereld wil leren. Waar of wat je ook leert, je bent van harte welkom.
