SUMMARY:Training to facilitate a dialogue
DESCRIPTION:This training is aimed at people who have attended at least three dialogues\, and who would like to learn to facilitate a dialogue. Ever wonder how you can encourage an appreciative dialogue about sensitive topics? How to provide a structure and space that allows to open hearts and brings new insights through sharing experiences and dreams? You will learn it during this training! To sign up\, click the red button above.  \n \nThe purpose of dialogue is to bring people and perspectives together to get a view of the whole\, more insight and the positive change\, personal and collective action that is possible. The more you practice being curious with an open heart\, will and mind the more it will bring you and others\, the further we come together. \nThe training\nWe invite you to take part in this English-language training where you will learn and practice how to facilitate a dialogue and learn more about the dialogue principles. During the training\, you will get to know what an appreciative dialogue is\, requirements for it and how it is structured. An appreciative dialogue follows four steps: 1) getting acquainted 2) sharing and exchanging one’s experiences 3) envisioning new possibilities and 4) formulating concrete actions. \nRole of the facilitator\n \nIn this training you examines and learn more on the role of facilitator. The equivalence and personal attitude needed to create a save space\, make open sharing and inquiry possible. On how to be an example in appreciative listening and asking the ‘right’ questions. You practice facilitating a dialogue in a small group to learn how to facilitating a 4 step dialogue. \nNext step\nAfter this training session\, you can start practice facilitating a dialogue together with experienced people in the Dialogue House. You can practice running a table with a more experienced dialogue facilitator together\, or come and get further practice at one of our Dialogue House events (held the first Wednesday of each month at Maliebaan 45). \nCosts\nThe costs for the training are: 10€ for students/U-pas holders\, 50€ for volunteers and 150€ for organizations.\nIf money is a problem we are happy to discuss an alternative contribution! \nMore\nWhat is a dialogue?

Working on a problem with a neighborhood initiative\, residents’ group and other partners?\nOrganize a dialogue (series) around a theme? In this workshop you learn what this involves and how you design\, shape and realize your own series of (neighborhood) dialogues based on the appreciative enquiry methodology used by Utrecht in Dialogue! This training is open to anyone\, whether part of an organisation or not\, and feel free to bring your friends and colleagues! \nProgram\n13:00 Walk in with coffee\, tea\n13:15 Welcome and introduction\n13:45 Getting to know each other and neighborhood dialogues\n14:30 Investigate and shape your own dialogue (series): ambitions\, themes\, questions\n15:15 Evaluation and follow-up appointments\n15:45 Closing \nWho is this workshop for?\nDo you want to organize a dialogue\, but haven’t done so before? Or would you like to design and shape a dialogue (series) with others? In this workshop you will work together with the appreciative design and shaping of dialogues. Together you can develop an interesting theme\, more powerful program\, and ensure more diversity at the table to facilitate a richer dialogue. We get to know each other’s dreams\, talents\, and can create a valuable dialogue (series) for participants. \nLearn from each other\nWe reflect on practical experiences\, what our goals are\, what is needed to make dialogues a success\, as well as themes and questions that play a role. The workshop is built according to the principles of the appreciative approach: from exploring and sharing\, to imagining\, shaping and realising. We learn from positive experiences and use the power of our dreams to move forward. We explore ideals\, possible themes and goals\, share beautiful experiences to come to a unified vision. We will design the structure of the dialogue\, and learn about the process of organising and conducting a successful dialogue. \n
